Thamesmead Pop-Up cinema is brought to you by The Nomad and in partnership with Theatre Street Performing ArtsThe Link is open to everyone. We are proud to be serving the young people and community of Thamesmead with training, arts and theatre all housed under the Harrow Manor Way Flyover.

The Nomad Cinema are delighted to be partnering up with Peabody in Thamesmead in its quest for a new cinema! Together we are creating a film hub at the local community centre. This indoor screening will be hosted by the new volunteer team, supported by Nomad staff. Support this new venture and new team by coming along to see this retro classic movie for the community within the theatre space at the Link.

In future months they will be screening a double bill of cult, classic and contemporary hits, with an afternoon show for families and an evening screening for adults.

Speeding into Thamesmead (at the necessary 88mph),  is DeLorean-tastic Back To The Future! High School is a drag for Marty McFly (Michael J Fox) – and he must also endure the acrimonious relationship between his nerdy father and his lovely mother, who in turn suffer the bullying of middle-aged jerk Biff, George McFly's supervisor. The one balm in Marty's life is his friendship with eccentric scientist Doc (Christopher Lloyd), who is working on a time machine. Accidentally zapped back into the 1950s, Marty inadvertently interferes with the budding romance of his teenage parents. Our hero must now reunite his parents-to-be, lest he cease to exist in the 1980s. It won't be easy, especially with the loutish Biff complicating matters.

The screening at this venue will be indoors and seated.
