Come sit under the stars in the magnificent Bushy Park and prepare to come face to face with things that are out of this world...

Outer space is often said to be the final frontier, a place for humans to go and explore. But what if outer space came to explore...us? Steven Spielberg first cast his eyes to the stars in 1977 with Close Encounters of the Third Kind and brought audiences a wondrous tale of worlds colliding. When everyman Roy Neary (Richard Dreyfuss) has a close encounter with a extra terrestrial, he finds himself drawn inexplicably to their landing site. As he and his family try to grapple with strange events around them, they are dropped into a strange new world, where scientists work to unravel the slew of mysteries surrounding Roy and face the possibility of contacting with the strange beings themselves. Released the same year as George Lucas' "Star Wars", Hollywood was tangled up in the cosmos and audiences loved it all! Hot off his success with "Jaws", Spielberg delivered another rousing tale full of adventure and wonder that has become touchstone of his craft.
