Nomad followers use the main entrance on Hampton Court Road, on the north bank of the river. On entering the grounds, follow the long path enticingly named ‘The Wilderness’, until you arrive at The Governor’s Gate where our box office is situated. The screening site is on the East Lawns at the back of the Palace - it’s marked on our map - click on the Show Map button at the bottom of this listing. There is free parking for up to 265 cars inside the main entrance gates, with further overflow parking opposite the main gates on The Green.

The Nomad knows every right-minded movie fan has an opinion on the value of the sequel. We appreciate the classic choices (The Godfather Part 2, Empire Strikes Back, Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge) but we also like to think outside the box, so we’ve ignore the protests from the pedants of “I think you’ll find it’s a three-quel” and stuck Paul Greengrass’s 2007 whopper of an action flick into our cinematic cannon, ready to be fired right into Hampton Court Palaces face in all it’s shakey-cam glory.

The Bourne Ultimatum is a rare case in cinema in its almost complete perfection. Greengrass succeeded on bettering every aspect of the original two films; the scenery is more exotic, the supporting cast more awesome (Paddy Considine, take a bow) and it all builds to a hugely satisfying denouement that closes the trilogy while leaving the door ajar for more without seeming trite. The action set pieces are simply mind-blowing, the standout being an extraordinarily tense chase around Waterloo Station that ends with… well we won’t spoil for you.

So come down to the beautiful Hampton Court Palace for our first of three cinematic adventures. If you’re coming from the capital, the Nomad Express will be leaving from Waterloo Station. We’ll be hiding in the rafters watching you. We’ll have the usual Nomad range of great food and drink on sale in the park, but you’re free to bring your own picnic. Be sure to get down early and take in the full Nomad treatment, with anything from live theatre to live music, costumes, decoration and a few little surprises along the way. We are particularly pleased to announce that our friends at Photobooth Out of Order will be on hand with their bespoke 3D photo studio inspired by the film.

A blanket or low chair is a good idea to sit on, and it gets nippy after sunset, so bring something warm to wear.
