Frances Ha (2012)
I’m so embarrassed. I’m not a real person yet.
Join us in Royal Academy of Arts' Annenberg Courtyard for an exploration of millenial meanderings in the Big Apple!
Filmed in glorious black and white and co-scripted by its star Greta Gerwig, Noah Baumbach’s fresh and unique cine-portrait is a journey through the life of a New Yorker trying to navigate her way into adulthood. We join her through a succession of cleverly observed scenes as she drifts, trying to find identity as a modern dancer. An urban nomad, she is set against a series of backdrops, all embellishing her expedition of self-discovery and flight from reality.
Street food vendors The Bell & Brisket and The Cheese Truck will operate from the RA courtyard offering a range of delicious hot food [including vegetarian options] for purchase.
Snacks such as ice cream and popcorn will also be available to buy, along with a variety of alcoholic beverages, teas, coffee and soft drinks. The Sipsmith Sipping Bar will be on hand to serve a range of gin based drinks and Fever-Tree soft drinks. Visitors may bring their own refreshments if they wish.
Tickets include musical entertainment before the film.
Premium tickets also include seating and a Sipsmith/ Fever-Tree G&T on arrival.
