Second Fundraiser for this years Play in a Week
‘What If‘ playing at The Nomad Theatre on April 5th 2014
“What If” are a guitar band based in North Surrey who play well known dance and sing-along ‘rock/pop’ from 50s to present day. They are well known in the area and have been together for 15 years. Their proceeds go to charity, but they are VERY competitively priced! When they play for a Charity directly, they only charge for expenses.
Their favoured charity has been “When You Wish Upon A Star”. They have also played and raised funds for The Princess Alice Hospice, MENCAP, The White Lodge, The Grange (in Bookham), The Round Table, Churches and Schools.
Since forming, they have raised more than £40,000 from all sorts of events.
They comprise a lead singer, 3 guitarists and a drummer; harmonising vocals is their speciality. They play at weddings, dinner/dances, parties, fêtes; in fact anywhere where they and their audience can have fun and raise money for a good cause. They have membership of and comprehensive PLI cover from The Musician’s Union. Some of the covers they play are by:
Mumford & Sons, Beatles, Maroon Five, Rolling Stones, Kaiser Chiefs, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Duran Duran, Eagles, Elton John, Buddy Holly, Fratellis, Beach Boys, Queen, Hollies, Lumineers ……and many more…..
