INSTRUCTIONS FOR MANAGERS & ASSISTANTS
Please try to arrive at the theatre at least 45 minutes before the start of the performance.
Badges are located in the cloakroom cupboard and it is important that they are worn.
You will also find two torches in the cupboard, please place them under the front and back FoH seats.
Ask the Box Office if any wheelchairs are expected and, if so, get out the Carer’s chairs which are stacked in the cloakroom; set out as many as are required in front of the first row.
Ask the Box Office if any headsets are required; liaise with the sound/lighting staff to check for correct operation.
Ask the Stage Manager to inform you when the auditorium can be opened, this will normally be no later than 15 minutes before curtain-up.
THE MANAGER AND ASSISTANT MUST OCCUPY THEIR DESIGNATED SEATS THROUGHOUT THE PERFORMANCE - this is a requirement of our licence.
If, for any reason, you have to leave the Theatre during the evening please contact Adrian
Do not allow anyone to sit on the steps or block the fire exits in any way.
IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY THE PERSON SITTING AT THE BACK SHOULD, IF TIME PERMITS, OPEN BOTH BACK DOORS AND USHER PEOPLE SITTING IN THE BACK ROWS DOWN THE BACK STAIRS. THE PERSON SITTING AT THE FRONT SHOULD OPEN THE AUDITORIUM DOORS AND MAIN THEATRE DOORS AND USHER PEOPLE OUT.
The assembly point is the grass verge opposite the Post Office.
IF THE FIRE ALARM SOUNDS BEGIN TO EVACUATE THE BUILDING IMMEDIATELY - DO NOT WAIT
Please remain in the foyer during the interval to offer assistance to members of the audience.
At the end of the evening return your badges and the torches to the cloakroom cupboard, check the auditorium for anything left behind and pick up litter.
Photography is not permitted in the auditorium and it is particularly important that the Theatre’s policy is adhered to during shows involving child performers.
