Neil Simon's classic comedy, set in New York. It tells the story of a pair of newlyweds setting up in their new apartment.
Audition dates: Sunday 11 July 3pm and Tuesday 13 July 8pm.
Characters: - The wife, young, vivacious, enthusiastic, full of life, in love, age 20 - 30. The husband, newly qualified as a lawyer, somewhat staid, also very much in love, slightly older. Wife's mother, a widow, rich and over protective of her daughter, and interfering. Age 40 - 55. Upstairs tenant of foreign extract, flamboyant, interesting witty and broke. Age 50 - 60. Telephone man, laconic, pragmatic, seen it all. Age 35 - 60. Delivery man, no dialogue, just expression. Elderly.
Action: - The action takes place during winter in their run sown top floor apartment with dodgy heating and no lift, and provides a rich combination of situations and characters which creates a very funny classic play.
