Prompt Corner

THE FREEWHEELERS, THE GLOBE AND VICTORIAN MUSIC HALL
These are the very varied subjects for our next three speakers at the Prompt Corner lunches. Thanks to Mary Brooks, our new speakers secretary, we now have a very varied programme of speakers for the lunches for the next six months. We also have a new strongly recommended chef, Pat Beasley, who will be providing our lunches for this autumn.

On Wednesday 20th October the speaker will be Viv Colvill, who is the driving force behind The Freewheelers, the theatre company based at Queen Elizabeth's Foundation's Development Centre, or as many of us know it, Dorincourt. She will be telling us about how the Freewheelers developed and their exciting plans for the future in their new purpose built acting space - with the aid of photos, videos, props and puppets!

On Wednesday 17th November Derrick Graham will be talking about the Globe with the aid of a film and in December the entertainer will be Christine Hayward, offering us some Old Time Music Hall and Christmas fare, with Margaret Searle on the keyboard.
The bar is open 12.15 onwards. Please let Eva Pearson, on 01306 730582, know by the previous Monday if you want to attend. Newcomers will be very welcome.
