EDINBURGH FESTIVAL 2000

The Nomads sold out at the Edinburgh Festival - an excellent result.  We performed The Crucible by Arthur Miller, at the Bedlam Theatre during the third week of the festival.  The Bedlam was converted from a church into a 92-seat theatre by the Edinburgh University Theatre Company.  It's small, cramped, and has no "facilities" but that didn't matter - the atmosphere was alive and the cast loved it.

CALAMITY JANE

Calamity Jame couldn't have been further from a calamity.  This was probably the best thing the Young Nomads have done recently - a tightly directed, crisply played and vigourously sung show that fully deserved its 90% audiences.

Richard Brookman is to be congratulated on another directing success, following his imaginative Alice for the Nomes.  The Young Nomads rightly deserved their success for the quality and punchiness of their performances.

LTG NATIONAL CONFERENCE

The Nomads are hosting their first Little Theatre Guild National Conference in October 2000.  Please ring for further details, and to book your place to participate in our exciting selection of workshops.
