The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)
Kidnap the Sandy Claws, beat him with a stick, lock him up for ninety years, see what makes him tick!
Step into Hyde Park and be drawn into a yuletide haven... The LookOut, hidden in a copse of trees in the heart of Hyde Park, will be transformed into a magical venue for this festive film screening of Tim Burton's animated hit.
Settle into the warm treehouse-inspired cocoon of The LookOut (with underfloor heating!) and discover Jack Skellington, the pumpkin king of Halloween Town, who is bored with doing the same thing every year for Halloween. One day he stumbles upon Christmas Town, and is so taken with the idea of Christmas that he tries to get the resident bats, ghouls, and goblins of Halloween town to help him put on Christmas instead of Halloween - but alas, they can't get it quite right...
Burton teams up with famed cinema composer Danny Elfman to offer an irreverent, fiendish, alternative seasonal animation that has delighted young and old since its release - believe it or not - over twenty years ago!
"Part avant-garde art film, part amusing but morbid fairy tale, it is a delightfully ghoulish holiday musical that displays more inventiveness in its brief 75 minutes than some studios can manage in an entire year." Kenneth Turan, LA Times
Before the screening, take the seasonal quiz and try your hand at making your own Christmas decoration.
