Another award for the Nomads
During the past few years, sponsorship has been an important part of our income.  We have been lucky enough to interest many companies in our activities.  On more than a dozen occasions since we have been in our present theatre, in association with our generous sponsors, we have received financial awards from Arts and Business.  A&B's aim is to help increase support from the business community for the arts and they have supported a wide range of our activities, especially those we had not done before.  Our awards have included companies of all sizes from international organisations like Cargill plc to Wildwood Project Management, run by our own hardworking newsletter editor, Lauren Fantham.

Running our inclusive theatre activity costs a good deal of money and we could not do this without the wide financial support we have received from many sources; over £10,000 in 2006 alone.  Both our Acting for All workshops in April and next week's PIAW8 have been enthusiastically supported by Wills & Smerdon and James Harper, a director of the company.  In addition they print our newsletters for free.  The picture shows James and Bill Pearson receiving the latest award from Colin Tweedy, the national director of A&B, at a recent Awards Presentation in the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill.  We are very grateful for both Wills & Smerdon and A&B's support.  Without such help we would not have been able to develop our activities for people with disabilities as extensively as we have over recent years.
