Join us somewhere over the Rainbow

This will be an awe-inspiring show, a real visual treat, with all the famous songs from the film. And lots of entertainment for the children. Jill Evans and team are working on an array of spectacular costumes. The Tuesday Crew, under the artistic guidance of Gordon Hilliker are creating a dazzling set to take us on Dorothy's journey with her friends. Meantime the superlative cast in rehearsing like mad, under the guidance of director Roger Stevens.

It's going to be the most lavish and exciting Christmas show the Nomads have ever seen.

Create-a-mask competition
There is still time for any young people aged between 5 and 11 to make a mask of Dorothy, Tin Man, Scarecrow and Lion from the Wizard of Oz. It can be on paper or on a palloon.

There is a range of prizes for the winners including book tokens, free tickets to Oz, a bag of other goodies and for the family a Mazda sports car or people carrier to drive free for a weekend.

Entry forms are available in the theatre foyer and entries must be in by Thursday 12th December. Prizes will be presented in the theatre bar at 11am on Saturday 4th January by June Spencer OBE. Later in January some of the masks will be displayed in The Theatre (previously the Thorndike) in Leatherhead and the Electric Theatre in Guildford as well as our own Theatre.

Another A&B; award for TW White and the Nomads
Marina Norris and Bill Pearson received our second award with T W White and Sons for promotional work we have undertaken together at Saga's fine new headquarters in Folkestone. The Award was one of twelve to be handed out to arts organisations in South East England. This was the sixth such Arts & Business award the theatre has received.
