A sign of the school year ending is always the annual Nomes show at the end of their Summer term. This year it is rather special - it was Dylan Lowthian and James Bristow's final production. The classic The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis, was a perfect choice for their final play, with all its magical characters in the miraculous world of Narnia. There is a wonderful range of characters from Asian the Lion and the ?. Indeed all the actors were obviously very supportive of each other. It is good to see that in next year's workshops speech training is featured. Clear diction and projection was perhaps on occasions the weakest element in the production. With the simple staging the costumes very much needed to be well co-ordinated and help set the scene; they provided a lot of fun. In particular the excellent make up greatly helped to create the characters. Congratulations to every one, including all those many parent chaperones and helpers backstage, on giving us an excellent evening's entertainment.
