It‘s the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics. Six people are all on their way up to their seats, ready to watch the show. Suddenly, the lift breaks down. Whilst waiting to be rescued they dream of their own opening ceremonies, not as grand as the Olympics perhaps, but just as worthy of being celebrated. From cans of tuna to time capsules found in the garden this is a musical journey of extraordinarily ordinary proportions.

This year’s Play in a Week has words by Rachel Barnett, music by Jay Bristow and is directed by Brandon McGuire.

Performances on Saturday 28th July at 7.30pm and Sunday 29th July at 3.30pm. Tickets cost £10
