A century ago, almost to the day, pistol shots rang out in a street in Sarajevo.

They were to prove the catalyst for a conflict which was to last for four bloody, arguably foolish, years and cost millions of lives.

This unique revue sets out to depict the First World War by means of humour, pathos, music, poetry and the odd surprise or two along the way.

Deviser Wilf Hill-Cox hopes that it will give pause for thought as well as being entertaining.

He has written several shows for the theatre, including a 100-strong production to mark the millennium and an evening based on the life of composer Richard Rodgers.
