A brand new Pantomime written specifically for the Nomad Theatre that follows the rules of a beloved family pantomime to create a show that everyone will enjoy.

The show is a take on the classic story of Sleeping Beauty, but with a more modern approach that still stays true to a fairy story.

AUDITION DATES:
Auditions will be held for all parts on:
Friday 20th September from 7:45pm - 10pm and
Sunday the 22nd & 29th September 10am - 1pm

AUDITION PROCESS:

Audition process will be doing a reading and a song which is likely to be either “Doh re me” or “Somewhere over the rainbow” followed by a vocal range test. The following are the roles in the show. CHARACTERS:

FAIRY LIQUID
(Female- any age)
Good Fairy, speaks in rhyme, a little forgetful

CARABOS
(Female- any age)
Evil Immortal, Also speaks in rhyme, scary and powerful.

JASON
(Male- 18+)
Assistant to Fairy Liquid, camp character, undergoes the adventure in order to earn his wings to become a fairy himself, and finally be able to speak in rhyme.

RONALD
(Male- 30+)
Panto comic idiot, good hearted, has had a number of different jobs.

EDWARD
(Female 18+)
Principle boy. Our hero.

DAME BELLA
(Male 50+ )
Panto Dame, a baker and pillar of the community in the village. Mother to both Ronald and Edward.

PRINCE GEOFFRY
(Male- 18+)
Evil Prince, spoilt, rich and pig-headed. Sent by Carabos to wake the Princess and rule the kingdom.

DAMIEN
(Male – 30+)
Manservant to Geoffrey, whilst he wouldn’t win any intelligence awards, he understands the world a little better than his master. Not really bad, just misguided.

PRINCESS ROSE
(Female- 18+)
Panto Princess, asleep in the castle, is woken at the end of the first act, and then kidnapped in the second.

‘ARRY
(Male or Female- under 18)
Leader of a group of children living in the forest of doom.

CHORUS:
Various villagers, ruffian children and guards, many smaller parts dotted around.

Evenings at 7.30 Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2.30.
no performances on Monday or Sunday evenings
