SOLD OUT - The Matrix [1999]
This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill, the story ends... you take the red pill, you stay in Wonderland.
The many cinematic, religious, philosophical and literary influences on The Matrix are almost as varied and complicated as the film itself, but one thing is for sure, The Wachowski Brothers created a monster of a film in 1999 that left you thinking about, and possibly doubting, your very existence. It also brought to everyone’s attention the incredible visual effect of 'bullet time' as the camera panned around a scene in slow motion - an effect also memorably used in Ang Lee's Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, released 1 year later. Starring Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, Carrie-Anne Moss and Hugo Weaving.
So grab some mates, some snacks, a blue pill, a red pill, and come find out the true meaning of The Matrix. But if the agents in dark glasses approach you... do what we do. Run.
