Hop in! We're taking you for a ride to The Royal Academy, courtesy of Martin Scorsese's seminal gritty flick. Let your driver, mohawked vigilante Travis Bickle, take you through New York amongst a cast of teen prostitutes, arms dealers and politicians, all shot with a keen eye and scripted by the bravura Paul Shrader.

Some films are called a masterpiece for a reason, and both Scorsese and De Niro prove their worth in what Variety critic A.D. Murphy describes as "a terrific showcase for the versatility of Robert DeNiro."

1000 Londoners:

Paul in Redbridge, Westminster is 41-50 and is London Cabbie. He’s seen tourists experience London for the first time and picked up a Roger Moore and Michael Caine as they stumbled out of Langans. But one chance passenger encounter, changed Paul’s entire world forever.
