John - 35-40
Detective Sgt Brocklebank - 35+
Bernard - 25-40

Auditions will be in the theatre:

Monday 2nd January 2:30pm

SNOW WHITE BOX OFFICE

Tickets for Snow White will be £10 for adults and £7 for children. The box office for the panto is being run by Judy Tweedale, and we are already booking-so don't delay! You can leave a message on the answerphone and Judy will get back to you, or call in on Saturday mornings.

Please make sure that you pay for your tickets at least a week before the production starts. We usually have a waiting list so we can re-sell tickets if you let us know. If you book tickets and then don't turn up, we have to charge you anyway as this behaviour

a) negatively affects our only source of income and
b) prevents someone else from having your seat and enjoying our shows

Don't forget we can now take credit card bookings.

The Nomes

Nomes are enjoying their Christmas break now, after an exhausting term (for the tutors, anyway) full of activity. Batteries are being charged for next term-so have a good Christmas everyone and we'll see you in the New Year!

Prompt Corner

Our speaker at the November meeting was Val Davies. She talked and showed slides of her work at Hampton Court on the cleaning and conservation of State Beds and Throne Canopies. She began her career as a graphic designer and taught Art and Textiles. She completed an apprenticeship at The Textile Conservation Studios at Hampton Court Palace, where she became Head of the Furnishing Section. She was responsible for planning and executing the furnishings conservation programme, managing the section budget and training staff, providing consultations and advice to museums and private clients and undertaking specialist on-site cleaning and textile audits. She retired 5 years ago and obtained funding from the Getty Institute in USA to write a book entitled State Beds & Throne Canopies - Care and Conservation. Many questions were asked by our members and her illustrated talk was very much appreciated.

Our January Meeting will be held on Wednesday, 18th January. Our speaker will be Karl Davies who is the Projects Funding Consultant for Surrey County Council's Community Sector. He will bring some examples of work by deaf or disabled artists.

In February, David Wheeler will speak to us on his work of caring for and restoring furniture in the royal palaces. I will give more information about his talk in our January Newsletter.

We have a variety of speakers to entertain you in the coming months. I wish all members who attend our luncheons a very happy Christmas and I look forward to seeing you all in the New Year.
